Ministry Promotion

We promote the RI ministry through our Church Liaison team, presenting at Sunday services across the Coast and gathering expressions of interest for all volunteer and support roles. RI is also promoted through occasional SALT 106.5 campaigns, website enquiries, and word-of-mouth from instructors.

Accreditation

We deliver customised training on behalf of churches so they can authorise their volunteers for RI in schools. Our program equips volunteers to share the gospel in a government school setting, covering curriculum and compliance requirements. We secure pastoral approval before training and provide accreditation reports upon completion.

Coordinator Support

Our Coordinator Liaison assists RI team leaders in managing their programs on behalf of the local cooperative of sending churches. Each cooperative must appoint a Coordinator to report back to them and to serve as the main contact between the school and RI team. Coordinators oversee Form 1 & 2 documentation, MAST training, RI promotion, timetabling, instructor communication, weekly prayer, and team encouragement.

Data Collection & Records Management

Our office maintains up-to-date records for every RI program across the Coast. We collect opt-in data, timetables, instructor details (and any gaps), and school leadership contacts. This helps us monitor trends and strengthen professional relationships with our school partners. We also keep training and accreditation records for all RI instructors across the region.

Program Monitoring

Each term, we check in with RI Coordinators to remind them of key responsibilities, term activities, and available support. We provide RI content for school newsletters & websites, send annual review and Form 1 & 2 templates. We also highlight the assistance available through our School Liaison. Our regular communications with the network ensures needs and challenges are quickly relayed, triaged or resolved.

Issues Resolution

Our School Liaison works alongside RI Coordinators to resolve timetabling challenges and advocate for RI access across all eligible year levels. We are committed to ensuring compliance with the Department of Education’s RI Policy and relevant legislation, while promoting best practice models that schools can adopt in their own context.

Expanding RI Delivery

We monitor RI delivery from Coolum to Caloundra and the Glasshouse Mountains. Where schools have no current RI provision, we actively recruit and train volunteers for those schools, while our School Liaison, CEO, and local church leaders (where possible) meet with school leadership to discuss introducing RI in those locations.

Relationship Building

Every state primary school has families who’ve opted into Christian RI, yet not all have a program in place. Our Church and School Liaisons build relationships within their networks to bridge that gap—connecting willing believers from churches to schools. We present a united and professional front, helping both schools and churches feel confident in supporting RI in their communities.

Report to Churches & to State

Positioned between the state level and the local Sunshine Coast RI network, our organisation effectively relays key communications from grassroots volunteers to decision makers and influencers via the CEO. Our Church Liaison regularly attends ministers' network breakfasts to report on RI activities and raise matters requiring the Faith Cooperative’s attention.
